When "Gra-Pa" (Grandpa) is here nothing else matters. I swear this kid asks where Gra-Pa is every two minutes. We will walk into my bedroom and Alex will look around and scream "GRA-PA!!! ARE YOU!???" which is Alex's version of "where are you?" My Dad can't seem to go to the restroom without Alexander on his heels. hehe.
My dad gets a kick out of him though. He "translates" Alex's words, which I think sounds like complete gibberish to the average person, but to Joe and I, we know exactly what he is saying. But my Dad cracks me up, whenever we are about to go somewhere, Alex asks about the keys, he says "Oh, Keys!" (which I think is his signal for we are finally going somewhere, so its a very exciting situation), my dad says "Honkey!? Who are you calling a Honkey!?" There are many of these Gra-Pa translations, each and every one pretty hilarious.

July happenings
We had a quiet 4th, just Joe, Alex, and myself, BBQed in the backyard and watched the fireworks from there as well. Alex played in hid little pool. It was a good weekend. :)

We didn't do much for my birthday, Alex was sick so we stayed in most of the weekend. I got some pie, which is what I wanted that day, and sushi. :)
my Dad got me a new Marilyn picture, its above our bed. :)

Arizona
Alex and I went on a trip to see my mom in Sedona, AZ this last week. It was Alex's first time on the plane. He slept the whole time! Thankfully it is only an hour flight and I made the flights for around nap time, so he crashed right when we got on the plane and did not wake until I woke him up at the end. :) It made it quite easy. He was really excited to see the planes though.
We got to see my mom's new house and that was awesome. Sedona is such an amazing place, with red rock mountains everywhere you look. My mom's house is surrounded by the mountains. We had a lot of fun, Alex had a blast with "Nana" and her doggies "Annie" and "Emmie." It was nice to get a way, I came back feeling refreshed, I really needed to get away for a little while. Unfortunately Joe had to work so he stayed home, and he missed us. We missed him too. :)
There was a awesome thunder storm one morning, I love thunderstorms so that was great to see!
Here are some pictures!
Nana and Alex in front of Bell Rock.

Another mountain. not sure the name of this one. :)

the second pilar is "Madonna and Child" this was the view from the Chapel built into the rocks. It was very cool.

We had a little blow up pool for him in the backyard and he loved collecting rocks and putting them in there. :) Him and Nana went in when it was hot. ha

In Flagstaff we went to a little playground to release some toddler energy. :)

hello- quick update.
Things are going as usual. I just started a new block of classes this week, so I have been busy getting used to some new teachers and new material. :)
Joe is working and trying to look for more orders for the future. Things are very up in the air with that. But we are praying and staying positive that things will fall into place.
Alexander is growing everyday. He is saying so much now! He forms small sentences, like "are you okay?", "Mom, milk please", etc. he pretty much repeats anything we say. When I say a new word he doesn't know, I ask "can you say...." and he will say it. Its very cute. His favorite movies (besides Thomas the Train of course) is Finding Nemo and Cars. Every morning, he says "Memo?" its very cute. He also says "Go Cars!" when he sees a car, just like in the movie. We are trying to work on his sleeping issues, we need him to sleep better in his crib, because it looks like he will be able to climb out of it in a few months, when I watch him in the monitor, I can see he is starting to understand that he can climb, but is still not tall enough to do so. A few more inches and we could have a monkey climbing out of the crib. Which means big boy bed.. and that means I will never sleep again. :) So.. we are working on that.
My mom has stopped Chemo as of last week. She is still on a drug call Suttan (I think I am spelling this wrong), and they will keep her on that until her numbers drop. Her scans still come back negative to any cancer, so she is still considered cancer free, but the blood tests are still a little elevated, which can happen. The blood tests are not always the most accurate test, they pick up dead and new cells. Anyway, please pray that that will go well and that the numbers drop soon and she will be off all the drugs very soon. She will be coming into town in a few weeks to visit, we are excited to see "Nana." :)
Anyway, I need to get some new batteries for my camera. When I do so, I will get some more on here! Bye for now!
